Creative Arts – Division 4: Horticulture

1. Entries will be accepted Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 1:00 pm thru 6:00 pm. An exhibitor tag must be filled out completely for each item. No entry fee required.
2. Entries in this division will be judged on general appearance, health, shape and presentation. Judging will begin at 7:00pm. Exhibitors shall not be in judging area at time of judging. Judges decisions are final.
3. Plants must be grown by exhibitor and in possession six (6) weeks prior to Fair. Plant name must be included – either botanical or common. Exhibitor’s name must not be affixed where it is visible.
4. Canned foods must be in “standard containers”, i.e. Ball or Kerr pints only, but jellies, jams, and preserves may be in 1/2 pint jars. Containers should be clean and free from rust on the outside.
5. Any jar not sealed will be disqualified. No wax seals, seals will be broken for judging purposes. Visible label must have product name only. Exhibitor’s name must not be affixed where it is visible.
6. Exhibitor must care for all exhibit items. No water containers will be left in or around exhibit area. Only dish gardens or terrariums may contain decorations.
7. Exhibits may be removed Sunday, October 29, 2017, beginning at 4:00 pm, by presenting exhibitor copy of entry tag to redeem item.
