It is the goal of the Kerr County Fair Association to bring the best fun and family-friendly entertainment/events possible. For the kids we have a petting zoo and rodeo events which include mutton busting and stick horse racing, and more.

Cook Off Competition

Try your hand in our cook-off competition. We accept entries of barbecue, salsa, beans and chili. Read the full rules and regulations, and fill out an entry form here.

Creative Arts

Each year, the Creative Arts Department showcases the work of talented folks of all ages in crafts like quilting, woodwork, baking, cooking, canning, photography, ceramics and painting.

The Kerr County Fair Parade is a hometown favorite and takes place on Saturday morning during Fair weekend. All businesses, organizations, and friends of the fair are encouraged to enter. Fill out an application and read our guidelines here.

4-H & FFA Prospect Show

A prospect show is a competition in which animals are judged on their appearance, health, size and young people are judged on their showmanship skills. A young person who shows livestock is learning major life skills not only by caring for a live animal but by maintaining a sense of routine, discipline and project completion that is not found in any other kind of competition. Learn more about our prospect shows.

Bring the family out Saturday to enjoy the fair and then stick around that evening for the rodeo events, which include the kid’s Mutton Bustin’ and Stick Horse Race as well as the thrill-filled action of the Open Pro Bull Riding brought to you by the fine folks of the Lester Meier Rodeo Company.
